What’s Happening?

Cousins Arturo Villa and Cristian Valenzuela began playing at 10 years old in Culiacan, Sinaloa. Together with members Gil Lizarraga & Jesus Alan Obeso, they form the Musica Mexicana band Edición Especial. The group started their career in Mexico, gaining fame in states like Jalisco, Sinaloa, Baja California, Sonora, and beyond. In 2016, Edicion Especial recorded their first album titled Rompecabezas. The singles “El 3” y “El Doble RR” jumpstarted the band’s career and went viral on social media. Since then, the band has gone on to release 4studioalbums, including the latest released Guardadasin 2023. The band has cemented themselves in the top of their genre, collaborating with famed peers such as Fuerza Regida, Grupo Firme, and more. After a successful “Primera Edición” tour in the US with multiple sold-out dates, Edicion Especial returns in 2024 with their “Segunda Edición” tour
