Vance Gilbert

Concert Performance Art Folk & Traditional

What’s Happening?

Vance Gilbert burst onto the singer/songwriter scene in the early 1990s when the buzz started spreading in the folk clubs of Boston about an ex-multicultural arts teacher who was knocking ’em dead at open mikes. Word of the Philadelphia-area bred performer quickly spread to New York City and soon Vance Gilbert took the country by storm.

“An incredibly witty and wry stage presence, the soulful guitarist-singer is considered one of folk-pop’s most incisive and insightful songwriters.”

                                                 Philadelphia Courier Post

“Gilbert took the stage, accompanied only by an acoustic guitar, a whimsical sense of humor, and an astonishingly smooth, pure tenor voice. But that proved to be more than enough.”

                                                     Chicago Tribune
