The history, the friendship, the tragedies, the recoveries, the music, the legends. Enjoy the portrayals of legends Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash as this duo show by David K and Mitchell Hall share the life stories and unique perspective of Cash and Orbison’s very close friendship. Mitchell Hall conveys Cash vocal and song performance with passion and perfection. David K sings Roy’s multi-octave range beautifully. Two performers on one stage mix it up sometimes switching instruments, Hall/Cash mostly on guitar and vocal, but backing David K/Orbison on upright bass, as well. David K plays a little piano behind Hall, some shine as solo songs, and some with excellent harmonies. This varied and intimate show shares the many hits; Pretty Woman, Crying, Only The Lonely, Blue Bayou and more of Orbison… Walk The Line, Folsom Prison Blues, I’ve Been Every Where, Ring Of Fire of Cash… and many more. As a young teen, Orbison hosted a radio then TV show in Wink, Texas, and a young rising star Johnny Cash passed through town as a guest. Johnny heard Roy perform “Ooby Dooby” and connect Roy to Sam Phillips at Sun Records of Memphis. This began their friendship, their stardom and their legends.
