With Friends For Adults Other Health & Fitness Other Dancing Jazz Dancing Hip-Hop Dance Ballet

What’s Happening?

This one-hour, in-person class for adults with prior ballet training (no matter how long ago) will start at 11:45 am EST on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Premier School of Dance, 121 Gateway Drive, Unit A, Myrtle Beach, SC. Please pre-register (https://bit.ly/TDW_beach) and arrive at 11:30 am. This pop-up class is $15 at the door.

Featured by both Dance Magazine and Good Housekeeping as one of the best available online dance classes, The Dancer's Workout® (TDW) classes were designed to help adult former dancers, current dancers, dance instructors, and performers achieve their fitness goals through dance. Whether online or in-person, each one-hour class includes warm-up, stretching, a cardio dance segment, and toning exercises and provides a highly effective and efficient total body workout. Ballet, jazz, contemporary dance, and hip hop are used to build the choreography for each class. This is NOT a beginner's dance class as it requires prior training in ballet at the intermediate or advanced level (regardless of how long ago).

The Dancer's Workout® is a fantastic fitness option for adult dancers who are bored by treadmills and traditional fitness classes. Regardless of how long it has been since you took ballet, jazz, modern, or hip hop, The Dancer's Workout® is a fantastic way to begin dancing again and to start getting your body back in tip-top dancer's shape. Online TDW classes are available 24/7, however in-person classes are offered one weekend each month in the Myrtle Beach/Little River, SC area. Don't miss your chance for this in-person class!

Our adult students come in all shapes and sizes, levels of fitness, and dance technique levels. The unique, original ballet, jazz, contemporary dance, and toning choreography is constructed in a manner which enables every dancer to enjoy their own unique strengths and work on their own unique weaknesses. We welcome adult dancers all across the spectrum, from those who haven't stepped foot into the studio in over a decade to those who perform every night. Everyone has something they need to improve - this is your playground and platform for improvement and growth, and we welcome you to our sanctuary.

A few words to our former dancers... Every dancer who quit dance after training in middle school, high school, and/or college understands the emotional and physical challenges of starting back up again. The Dancer's Workout® was designed by UNC School of the Arts classical ballet graduate, Jules Szabo, to be an emotionally and physically safe path back to dance for those who want to reignite their passion for dance and reclaim their bodies! Visit the UNC School of the Arts website to read Jules' personal story, which describes her difficult but triumphant experience returning to dance at age 41, after a 15-year absence: https://www.uncsa.edu/dance/alumni/jules-szabo.aspx.
