Owl Pellet Dissection Program (Virtual Event)

Kid Friendly Nonprofit Events

What’s Happening?

Ever wondered what's in an owl pellet? Where do they come from? Why do the owls make them?

Join us for a Virtual Owl Pellet Dissection program on September 26th from 4:30-5:30 p.m., live-streamed on Zoom, where we will answer all those questions and more!

All registrants will receive an owl pellet bag, which will include TWO owl pellets and other fun materials for the program.

Pick-up option: $10 for members and non-members.
When you sign up for this program and pick up your owl pellet bag, a Forest staff member will greet you with your bag and a live owl! Bag pick-up is on September 25, the day prior to the program.

Shipping option: $20 for members and non-members.
Don't live near the Forest? No problem! We will ship your bag direct to you!

The deadline to register is September 18. Our last program sold out, so sign up early!

More about Fontenelle Forest
Founded in 1913, Fontenelle Forest is one of Nebraska's oldest conservation organizations and one of the largest private nature centers in the nation. This federally designated 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity is a National Natural Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Fontenelle Forest owns and manages two nature centers: Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in Bellevue and Neale Woods in Omaha. The properties encompass over 2,100 acres of forest, prairie and wetlands along the Missouri River in the geographically significant Loess Hills. The mission of Fontenelle Forest is to provide a place where people can experience and enjoy the quiet wild of nature. We want to inspire current and future generations to care for the natural world.
