PROCESS
From Concept to Creation

APRIL 4 - 26

Opening Reception

Friday, April 4

6pm-8pm

FREE

Please join us in the gallery to meet the artist, explore the exhibit, and enjoy drinks and small bites.

Art is rarely born fully formed. Every finished piece carries a history—a winding path of inspiration, trial, error, and discovery. Process invites you to step beyond the final strokes of paint, the last sculpted details, or the polished veneer of a completed work and witness the unseen moments that shape artistic creation.

This exhibition pulls back the curtain on the creative journey, offering a rare glimpse into the sketches, notes, color tests, failed experiments, and unexpected breakthroughs that accompany an artist’s vision. Each participating artist will present a completed (or nearly completed) piece alongside the raw and revealing elements of its making—journal entries, discarded drafts, material explorations, and alternate versions that illuminate the story behind the work.

By showcasing both the final product and the steps that led to it, Process transforms the gallery into a living studio, bridging the gap between artist and viewer. It is a celebration of persistence, experimentation, and the unpredictable nature of creativity.

Join us as we explore the beauty of art in motion—before the masterpiece, before the certainty, before the last mark is made.

"My hope/goal is that our art collection be donated to aid in the furtherance of quality art involvement to enrich the lives of the future"
- Susan Amster

To support arts education and contribute to arts enrichment for years to come, Susan and Stephanie Amster have donated their personal collection of over 150 valuable artworks acquired over the past 65 years that have been created by artists from around the globe. In the spring of '22, the sale of this artwork seeded the brand new non-profit, Tandem Arts Partnership, which provided access to the arts for our underserved communities.

The proceeds from sales funded arts education programs for the community through Tandem Arts Partnership non-profit.
