Kid Friendly Christianity Art Gallery Art Exhibition Concert Classical

What’s Happening?

June 11 – 21, 2022

Welcome to our annual Celebration of the Arts! For 48 years, the people of First United Methodist Church have offered this exhibit as a way for viewers of all ages to embrace the diverse spiritual gifts represented by local and regional artists. Celebration has grown to represent one of the largest juried sacred art shows in the country. It features artists from throughout the Midwest in a variety of media including oils, acrylic, watercolor, sculpture, fiber, photography, and more. Gallery Hours ― open to the public:
Saturdays: 10 am - 3 pm 
Sundays: 10 am - 5:30 pm
Mondays and Tuesdays: 10 am - 3 pm 
Wednesday and  Thursday: 10 am - 8 pm
Friday: 10 am - 3 pm

Artists’ Reception ― Open to the Public
Friday, June 10: 7 pm //Jazz, special desserts, and presentation of awards!

Celebration Sunday Worship with Edye Evans Hyde

Sunday, June 12: 10 am //Join us in worship for special music with Edye Evans Hyde. Edye has been singing jazz, blues and pop music for over 30 years in West Michigan. All are welcome.

Gallery Walk-Through

Sunday, June 12: 11:15 - 12:15 am //Wednesday, June 15: 12 - 1 pm //Wednesday, June 15: 7 - 8 pm //Adults are invited to experience the show through the special insight of Nancy Clouse, artist and retired faculty member from Grand Rapids Community College. 

Musicians of First Church
Sunday, June 12: 3 pm //Join us for a concert put on by the many musicians of First Church.

Celebration Sunday Worship with The River Rogues
Sunday, June 19: 10 am //Join us in worship for traditional New Orleans Mardi Gras-style dixieland music with The River Rogues. All are welcome.
