Sunday Funday: Family Embroidery

Kid Friendly Nonprofit Events DIY Class Community

What’s Happening?

Museums don’t always have to be hands-off! One Sunday of the month, the Neill-Cochran House Museum opens its doors to feature fun hands-on activities, scavenger hunts, and self-paced tours.

Embroidery for the whole family! Join the Neill-Cochran House Museum staff and learn a great new hobby you can enjoy for a lifetime. You will learn about all of the materials and how to use them, how to get set up, designing your piece, how to work with patterns, and backstitch to start. You will be a pro stitcher in no time.

This activity is free with Museum admission and appropriate for all ages (adults included!), but children younger than 8 will likely need the help of an older child or an adult. This is a drop-in event; it is not necessary to arrive at 11:00pm or stay until 2:00pm to enjoy the activity.

Free parking is available behind the Museum. This event will take place outdoors, weather permitting. For the safety of all visitors and staff, we ask that you wear a mask while in the Museum.
