What’s Happening?

British-born, NYC-based pianist Wilfie Williams brings his powerhouse quartet to San Francisco for a four-night residency featuring Bay Area native and NYC rising star Akili Bradley on trumpet. Together, they represent a new generation reshaping the sound of modern jazz—bridging continents, traditions, and grooves with fearless creativity and heart.

Williams, praised as “an exceptional player loaded with talent, purpose and poignancy” (Julian Joseph, BBC Radio 3), has become a sought-after presence in New York’s vibrant scene, performing with Ralph Peterson, Stacy Dillard, and Lonnie Plaxico. Bradley, a dynamic trumpeter and composer described as “a young musician to keep abreast of” (New York Amsterdam News), brings her deep roots and forward-thinking sound home to the Bay after acclaimed performances with Jason Moran, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Steve Wilson.

Expect four nights of groove, lyricism, and improvisational fire from two of jazz’s most exciting young voices—leading a band of rising stars taking the scene by storm.

Band Lineup:
Wilfie Williams, Piano/Keys
Akili Bradley, Trumpet
Jason Clotter, Bass
Willie Bowman, Drums
