What’s Happening?

This class will be a slower moving asana practice. We build heat and presence by holding each posture for at least five breaths. This class will build strength and open the physical and energy body. This experience will incorporate music, breath, and meditation to create a celebratory container for the emotions and senses. The focus of this class is to inspire and heal the mind, body, and spirit.

Agnete was born in Norway on a dark and cold December night.  The darkness and isolation that she experienced in Norway stayed with her as a teacher and has been a part of her transformation and transmutation in this lifetime.  As a sensitive she struggled in an extrovert-driven reality.  She went to elementary school on a farm in Norway where she would sneak away at recess to hang out with the animals and to find peace, calm, and presence.  She has a deep love for plants and animals and a desire for depth in life.  Eventually her family moved to the US and landed in Boulder, Colorado where Agnete went to Boulder High and CU.  She received a Bachelors in Studio Art and Art History and created many paintings and drawings in the art studios of CU Boulder.  Agnete loves to travel and have new experiences and life must be an adventure in order for her to thrive.  She ended up in California over ten years ago where she re-discovered yoga on a more spiritual level.  She has managed a yoga studio and co-led many 200 RYT yoga teacher trainings over the years.  In these trainings the students learned a lot more than how to teach physical yoga Asana.  The yoga teacher trainings became a catalyst for deep transformation. Over the years Agnete  became certified as a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Reiki Master, and prison yoga practitioner.  Agnete is now a certified Kambo practitioner as well as a spiritual mentor.  She currently lives in Austin, Texas.
