Tales of Poe

Poetry

What’s Happening?

Say it ain't POE!

Flock to the Castle for three nights celebrating the works of Edgar Allen Poe! Tales of Poe is back by popular demand with dramatic performances throughout the Castle on the evenings of October 15, 16 and 17.

We’re thrilled to announce that our friend and director Scott Working is remounting the popular evening of macabre and mystery, highlighting some of the classic works of the King of the Night Edgar Allan Poe. The cast features some of the best local talent Omaha has to offer!

Guests will take a journey through the night, starting in the Carriage House and moving into the Castle for vignettes performed throughout the storied halls (and basement!).

Featured poems include:

Fall of the House of Usher

Tell Tale Heart

The Raven

The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar

He has been writing, acting, and directing around Omaha since the late 1980’s, working with The Shelterbelt Theatre, The Brigit Saint Brigit, The Blue Barn, and the Omaha Community Playhouse. While the Great Plains Theatre Conference was at MCC, Scott acted as its Associate Artistic Director.
