Divorce Recovery Workshop

Non-Denominational Self-care Mental Health

What’s Happening?

When a relationship ends, it can feel like the earth has shifted beneath you. Divorce, separation, or parting from a partner can bring waves of grief—but healing is possible.

For 35 years, Divorce Recovery Workshop (DRW) at Richmond’s First Baptist Church has been a lifeline for thousands of people in these moments—a place to find understanding, strength, and hope when the future feels uncertain.

Eight consecutive Sunday sessions from 5-7:30 p.m. in Flamming Hall. The cost with pre-registration is $75 by September 11, $85 after.

We welcome the young and elementary school-age children of our participants: we provide child care for babies through pre-school age children and we offer age-appropriate activities and programming for kindergarteners through 5th graders. These offerings are FREE and your child will be provided snacks or a light meal.

We approach this program as an outreach to all people with our mission to help anyone who is suffering. People of all faiths, or none, are warmly welcomed. We do not evangelize, preach, read scripture, or proselytize during the workshop. We offer a program to help everyone who is suffering from the loss of a love relationship to heal from the emotional pain of their loss.
