Through the Eyes of St. Joseph: An Advent Day of Prayer

Christmas Catholic

What’s Happening?

Through the Eyes of St. Joseph

An Advent Day of Prayer

Dec. 11, Saturday

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In person and livestreamed. Register by Dec. 9.

We will use this Advent Day of Prayer to contemplate the experience of God being born into human flesh as Jesus of Nazareth. We will look at the experience through the eyes of St. Joseph, his foster father.

We will use various resources as our framework for prayer, including the Apostolic Letter of Pope Francis Patris Corde (“With a Father’s Heart”), various Nativity displays, guided meditations, and journaling during the day.

Joseph was hand-picked from all the men in history to act as an agent of God the Father, revealing both masculinity and fatherhood to Jesus Christ. He was a spiritual man who taught Jesus how to pray. He was a fierce protector who led his family to Egypt to safeguard the life of the baby entrusted to him. He also conquered himself to protect the purity of the Virgin Mary and so allowed her to feel safer with him than anywhere in the world. Joseph was a man. He was a dad. He was a saint.

Join us for this Advent Day of Prayer led by Fr. Ron Will, C.PP.S. and significantly enrich your experience of Christmas this year. If you cannot join us in person, we invite you to join us virtually by means of Zoom.

Sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided. Suggested donation: $10.
